Hoppy IPA Day! August 1st has been declared IPA Day. India Pale Ale has been brewed since the 1700’s. I has gained huge popularity in that’s few years. It was the second style I brewed 25 years ago.

Just finished a perfect pairing-Stony Brook Red (tart) and creamy, buttery Parmesan chicken (rich). Cheers!
Maytag blue cheese crisps and Anchor Steam… A perfect pairing! Salty big cheeseyness and sweet, malty, dry finishing amber Anchor Steam.
SF originals: Cioppino, sourdough rolls and Anchor Steam. Happy New Year!
At Bass Lake and just finished a perfect pairing of chocolate mousse cake and Guinness stout! Cheers!
Toasting Christmas Eve at Rockbottom with appropriately: St Nick (8% Imperial IPA) and Blitzen (10% Belgian Triple). Merry Christmas!
100oz of beer in a tube at Peter B’s in Monterey $25.00.
This should be interesting… Watch for higher-alcohol, 6.0% ABV, (and higher flavor too I hope) Budweiser in the new year. Budweiser “Black Crown” is described as a “golden amber lager” that is “distinctively smooth and beechwood finished.” Saddle up your “draught” horse!
Monday Night Football and Long Hammer IPA! Long Hammer is a clean, refreshing and mild IPA. Some hops in the nose, a little hop flavor and a gentle barely bitter hop finish. I rate this mainstream IPA closer to a big pale ale. It is a very nice, but mild example of a classic IPA.
