Oktoberfest is held in Munich and lasts sixteen days. The festival ends on the first Sunday of October. This year the party spans 9/20/14 through 10/5/14. Harvard School of Public Health found that moderate amounts of alcohol, including beer, help prevent blood clots that block blood flow to the heart, neck and brain—the clots that cause ischemic stroke, the most common type. I wish beer would also reduce strokes on my golf game. Cheers!
It turns out that drinking beer can lead to healthier bones. Studies have found that older individuals who drinking one or two beers a day have higher bone density. This is largely due to the fact that beer (especially pale ales) has a lot of silicon, which is great for bone health.
